PERKO® meets new ISO standards

Leading the way in product quality and customer service, Perko is one of the first marine hardware manufacturers to receive ISO 9001:2008 certification. Company president Fred Perkins made the announcement.

"This is an important achievement for Perko," said Perkins. "By attaining the latest ISO 9001:2008 certification, we're being recognized for our ongoing commitment to quality, customer satisfaction and innovation."

Maintained by ISO (International Organization for Standardization), ISO 9001:2008 certification specifies requirements for quality management, covering all key business processes. It is awarded to organizations that can demonstrate consistent products and services, which meet customer expectations, and plan continual improvements.

For over 100 years, Perko has manufactured superior marine lights, hardware and other accessories. Perko is taking the initiative to make this transition and achieve a higher standard of quality as early as possible even though the company's ISO 9001:2000 certification was still valid through April 2010.
